Systems Services Ltd specialise in Database Design, Systems
Engineering and Consultancy Services, priding themselves on
delivering a wide range of reliable products and services at
competitive prices.
At the forefront of the
operation is Systems Engineer, James Codali B.Eng M.Eng, who
established the company in 1995. Having studied a comprehensive
electrical and electronic engineering course at Cardiff University,
James’s interest in computing was evident from the outset. Upon
completing his undergraduate degree, he then went on to undertake a
Masters in systems engineering, focusing primarily on computer
databases.
Following his studies, he worked in
the UK for a number of years, first leading a team in the design of
robotics for an automotive company, and then going on to complete a
year at Mars Electronics (MEI), based in Winnersh Triangle; an area
renowned for its significant presence of large and notable technology
companies.
With a wealth of experience already
under his belt, James decided to move back home to Gibraltar, and set
up shop in the family-owned building in Convent Place. He pursued
both of his interests in computer software and database design; two
crucial aspects of Systems Services even today, and quickly began to
oversee various projects for the Gibraltar Government.
He was approached to assist in launching the first ever computer shop
in Gibraltar, and, following its success, was subsequently appointed
by another company to do the same. His main responsibilities, even in
these early stages, included system installations, the training of
staff, after-sales service, as well as some database work.
Over the years that have followed, Systems Services have
built an extensive and loyal clientbase, continuing to expand and
thrive in the many avenues in which they operate.
